Kavitha, lovingly known as Akka, is the quiet backbone of Backyard - the person whose warmth reaches you long before her cheerful “hello.” A gifted, prize-winning kolam artist who pours love into every corner of the space, she finds joy and motivation in Backyard… and in Akshu Ma.

If you know her, you know her smile: bright, genuine, and impossible to miss on any kind of day. She loves what she does, and you can feel it in the energy she brings. Appreciation lights her up, and she always smiles right back.
Favourite spot at Backyard: The first-floor portico where she can sit under the mango tree, listen to parrots, and watch the world from above, whistling away time.
